Departments

KTL's research activities are organized in ten departments. Seven departments and the functions of administration and research support services are based in Helsinki. Activities outside the capital area are based in Kuopio, Turku and Oulu. The heads of departments form the institute's management group, chaired by the Director General, professor Pekka Puska.
