JUHANI ESKOLA

Deputy Director General

Juhani Eskola has served as Deputy Director General at the National Public Health Institute (KTL) since October 2005. In this role he collaborates with the Director General in strategic management of the Institute. His duties at KTL also include developing the support functions of research.

In 1991, Juhani Eskola was appointed Head of Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology. Later on he acted as Head of Department of Vaccines and Director of the Division of Infectious Diseases. Between 2000 and 2004 as Senior Vice President of Aventis Pasteur, France, he was responsible for clinical development of vaccines.
