The baseline results of the Health 2000 Survey were published in 2002. This data, based on nationwide health interviews and health examinations, is a continuous source of further research and publications. The results are also compared with those of the Mini-Finland Health Survey, conducted 20 years ago. Also, additional data on severe mental disorders is being collected through a study launched by the Department of Mental Health and Alcohol Research. New laboratory determinations are also being made. The cooperation partners of this project include the Finnish Centre for Pensions, the Social Insurance Institution of Finland (KELA), the National Research and Development Centre for Welfare and Health (STAKES), Statistics Finland, the Finnish Institute for Occupational Health and the UKK Institute for Health Promotion Research. Several reports will be published in the year 2004.
