| The research laboratory develops methods for the determination of biomarkers, or the compounds that represent nutrient intake, and applies them to determine the association between nutrition and diseases. Our research methods and data are derived from both large population-based studies and nutrition intervention studies. The research material we work with includes tissues, particularly whole blood, serum and plasma, but also fat tissue, urine, nails and hair. The unit has various cooperation partnerships with both national and international universities and research institutes. |
