The MORGAM Data Centre is the data centre of the MORGAM Project, where cohorts examined in the MONICA risk factor surveys and a number of other studies are followed up for cardiovascular diseases. This will allow an exploration of the relationship between risk factors and the development of disease. A European risk factor score for coronary heart disease and stroke will be derived. Many of the participating centres have also collected DNA in their surveys. Therefore, the MORGAM Project involves the assessment of gene-environment interactions in a large case-cohort study.
