BLOOD SAMPLING FOR NATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH INSTITUTE
A genetic research is performed by the National Public Health
Institute, Helsinki, Finland. The study protocol requires blood
samples from both patients and healthy controls. The blood can be
drawn in a local health center. The person presenting this referral
participates in this study as a study person and the blood drawing
has been proposed by National Public Health Institute. She/he is a
volunteer.
As a sample, 15-20ml of EDTA blood is needed (tubes enclosed).
Blood is drawn as according to regular practices and mixed by
turning the tube upside down a couple of times. A identification
sticker is already attached to the tubes and we wish that no
additional markings or stickers would be attached to the tubes. The
tubes are to be mailed to National Public Health Institute in the
enclosed package and envelope as soon as possible. The sample
should be stored in room temperature. If mailing etc. causes
additional expenses, we will cover them. Please bill us then at the
same address, you can for example enclose the bill with the tubes.
Please contact us if any questions, preferably during office hours.
We thank you for your co-operation!
