Dear Friends,
I am pleased to submit two manuscripts, written by Adrian Barnett and Annette Dobson for the WHO MONICA Project, for your approval according to the MONICA Publication rules:
The manuscripts are in the PDF format. You can open them with the Adobe Acrobat Reader, which most of you already have in your computers. If you do not have it, you can download it freely from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Both of the manuscripts are already written in the journals' styles, and may look like proofs, but they have not been submitted to the journals yet.
Please send your approvals as well as corrections to the list of relevant key personnel in your Centre using the forms in the internal MONICA WWW site, by 20 January 2003. If there is no reply from you by this date it will be assumed that this indicates your approval. (The need for updating the lists of personnel for the MMC and the MSC have already been recorded, so there is no need to point these out.)
