Procedures

The cohorts were linked to the Voivodship Death Register to identify the deaths. Record linkage was done using person's date of birth and address. Notifications of loss-to-follow-up due to person's moving out of the area of Voivodship were received from the Local Address Register. The linkage was done using the person's name, date of birth, sex and address. If the linkage failed, the person was recognized as lost to follow-up due to an unknown reason.
