POSTER INSTRUCTIONS
1. Poster board dimension: height 135 cm, width 115 cm. The poster board is made of fabric over cork. Please bring your own pushpins.
2. The language of the poster is English. Poster headings should contain the title of the paper, author's names, institutions and addresses. Title letters should be at least 3 cm high, headings 2 cm and text bulk 1 cm high.
3. When planning your poster presentation, aim for clarity and simplicity. Include your objective, design/methods, results and conclusions. Make the poster self-explanatory without oral explanation. Experimental details should be concise. Tables and figures should be clear. Favour figures over tables! Avoid excessive text and overcrowding the surface.
4. ALL AUTHORS ARE REQUESTED TO GIVE A SHORT AND CONCISED PRESENTATION (ab. 3 MIN) OF THEIR POSTERS. PLEASE, BRING ONE A4-OVERHEAD SHOWING THE MAIN POINTS OF YOUR POSTER. THE SESSION MODERATOR WILL SHOW THE OVERHEAD WHILE THE AUTHOR IS PRESENTING THE POSTER. THERE IS TIME FOR A FEW SHORT QUESTIONS. ALSO THE AUTHOR HAS A POSSIBILITY TO ASK QUESTIONS/ADVICE FROM THE AUDIENCE!
5. Please remember that the participants represent different fields of environmental health research. Avoid irrelevant details and too specialized jargon!
6. Best poster will be awarded (1000 FIM).
7. Posters should be hanged up before the morning session and be removed after the afternoon session. Those presenting a poster are kindly asked to stay in the vicinity of it during the poster sessions.
